The great thing about Yuletide is that you get to see all these tiny fandoms in one place, and all these enthusiastic people flailing about them, and all these enthusiastic people flailing about THE FANDOMS THAT YOU LOVE OMG and forming groups of flail and ultimate fannishness.

...The not so great, but still pretty great, thing about Yuletide is that I now want to write ALL THE FIC. EVER. AT ONCE.

Stating for the record that I approve of this. ^_^

I should note that it's mainly for brilliantly obscure fandoms at the moment. XDDD There's a lot of historical RPF that I want to write, but also Olympics RPF, and I should probably get started on the football RPF at some point because I have IDEAS and they keep EATING ME. <<

It's just not possible, is it? I still haven't even managed to write the NYR fic(s) I wanted to write, because of Reasons.

But you could always try... ;-p

The enthusiasm is always such a refreshing thing about it, though, I completely agree.

Nominations haven't even opened yet, and I'm already pretty sure that I want to try my hand at about 500 fandoms. XDDD (With multiple pairings in those fandoms, that are sadly neglected and deserve ALL THE FIC.)

It's just so nice to see so many people geeking out about the things dearest to their heart in one place. <3333 And the feeling that you get when you post a completely obscure fandom with the knowledge that you're a fandot of one and then GET SOMEBODY COMMENTING AND GOING "OMG FANDOM OF MY HEART" really is absolutely brilliant. <333

Yes, just when you were thinking you were probably distinctly strange for wanting Tudor RPF, then along comes someone who agrees. :-)

It is. Reviewing and so on is a valid bit of fandom, too, but everybody just being so enthusiastic about everything. It's great. ♥

(Thought I'd answer this here, my computer starts trying to explode coping with the no. of comment pages on the Yuletide post.)

DAVID COLLINGS! :DDDD I have all the feelings about David Collings, so I am also contractually obliged to watch most things with him in it.

Okay, and if I hadn't already friended you, now I would. ♥ ♥ I've spent this past year or so being ill and coping by working my way through David Collings's IMBD and finding inexplicable comfort in his improbable existence/career and awesome hair. It is quite scary, really.

(I suddenly want to actually DO things and life becomes absurdly busy in response. It's cruel, really.)

I think life just has a rule about this.

I HAVE ABOUT FIFTEEN OBSCURE FANDOMS THAT I DESPERATELY WANT THINGS FOR, IT IS GETTING TO THE POINT WHERE IT'S LIKELY THAT I'LL PANIC ON NOMINATIONS DAY AND PUT COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS FROM WHAT I'M CURRENTLY INTENDING.

I'll probably wind up with three I've decided on - but my OFFERS. Will entirely consist of offering for things without offers and then panicking at what I just did and changing them and... Yes. That is part of the fun, really, isn't it?
