Barry/Hartley

Gives nose/forehead kisses: Barry is the far more affectionate one, so usually tends to indulge when they’re both awake. On the rare occasions where Barry is asleep and Hartley is awake, though, Hartley isn’t above kissing him on the forehead a few times.

Gets jealous the most: HARTLEY. He’s not as bad as he was, thanks to Barry sitting him down and giving him a good few talks on the subject, but he’s still about as possessive as you’d expect a rogue to be.

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Barry, since he can’t get drunk! (And is generally remarkably tolerant of drunk!Hartley mocking him for this!)

Takes care of on sick days: Barry is generally far better at it. Hartley tends to make an effort, but generally messes up quite a lot.

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: Barry. Hartley generally just wants to sit under a beach umbrella with a book, which Barry respects, but will grumblingly give in to Barry’s desire to go paddling. Because he’s a nice boyfriend like that.

Gives unprompted massages: Barry tried to, near the beginning, but Hartley quickly dissuaded him from it. As it turns out, super speed massages can either be the best thing ever or land you up in hospital – and Hartley, bless him, isn’t quite willing to take the risk.

(Hartley himself won’t really give unprompted massages, but if Barry pokes him into it he’s generally quite happy to give in. He’s actually remarkably good at it, considering.)

Drives/rides shotgun: It depends on how sarcastic Hartley is feeling on the day. Sometimes he’s fine with letting Barry drive, sometimes he points out that Barry has super speed so why does he even need to be in a car anyway?

Brings the other lunch at work: Sometimes Barry will superspeed Hartley some sandwiches, but generally neither of them. Barry feels awkward popping in to see the rogues (mainly because they all get embarrassingly enthusiastic), and Hartley feels awkward risking arrest/Cisco hitting him around the head with a broom. They’ve agreed that it’s generally best to keep professional and personal lives separate.

Has the better parental relationship: BARRY. 1000% Barry.

Tries to start role-playing in bed: Barry tried once, and had to deal with Hartley going into hysterical laughter for about half an hour. They haven’t really tried since then, although Hartley has some ideas to make up for it.

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Barry was, but can no longer get drunk. Hartley tends to get grumpy and sit in one place when he’s drunk, although sometimes he will sway along to suitably depressing music.

Still cries watching Titanic: Both of them pretend not to, but they do both get sniffly and try to hide it.

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Neither of them!

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: This is a somewhat tricky area. Barry has the habit of running off to get things that Hartley wants from distant places, although generally it’s free/quite cheap stuff. Barry thus considers it not to be breaking the expensive gift rule, but Hartley would disagree.

Makes the other eat breakfast: neither of them are that great at eating breakfast, but Barry now has reminders on his phone – to avoid passing out mid-superheroing or anything – and that tends to remind Hartley.

(And on the rare occasions where Barry can’t be around, it’s solved by Lisa breaking into Hartley’s apartment and leaving helpful reminders on post-it notes. You know, like a good friend.)

Remembers anniversaries: Hartley pretends not to, but secretly remembers every single one of their anniversaries (first kiss, actually getting together, first time Barry stayed over…) and makes sure to mark them in his own special way.

(Barry is also fairly good at remembering, but sometimes needs to be poked on some of the more obscure ones.)

Brings up having kids: Barry vaguely floated the idea of adoption once, but Hartley got so freaked out that he gently backed off. They might adopt one day, but for now Barry is working on getting a dog (an idea which Hartley has countered with a pair of rats. They may well get both, and live in happy chaos forever).

LOL these are great, thanks!

I love the Rogues being enthusiastic. Like I am just imagining Lisa proudly congratulating Hartley for landing such a hot piece of ass or some other ridiculousness.

Love that Hartley is good at massages too :)

HAH! Now I have the image of Lisa doing that, and Hartley's face in response to that, in my head and it is FANTASTIC. :DDD

Harley Quinn/Bruce Wayne (BTAS)?

Aug. 18th, 2015 09:38 am (UTC)
Gives nose/forehead kisses: Harley! Harley is very fond of kissing Bruce wherever she can. Bruce is a lot less against this than he pretends.

Gets jealous the most: Harley. She was a supervillain, after all!

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Bruce! He not only doesn’t really drink that much, it would interfere with the superheroing, but is also very good at dealing with drunk!Harley.

Takes care of on sick days: Alfred.

(Seriously. Both of them try to look after each other when they’re not so well, but it generally ends in disaster. Alfred is much better at the whole nurturing thing.)

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: Harley! She also drags Bruce out on beach days, to his general dismay.

Gives unprompted massages: Harley. Bruce is rather dubious on how nice that actually is.

Drives/rides shotgun: Bruce generally insists on driving, whenever he can. Harley drives like a maniac, and he may be a billionaire but he doesn’t want too many of his cars completely destroyed.

Brings the other lunch at work: Harley. She also sometimes tries to bring him dinner when he’s on patrol, which is another thing that has never really ended well.

Has the better parental relationship: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

(Bruce has Alfred. So it’s very narrowly Bruce.)

Tries to start role-playing in bed: Harley started it, and it was actually a surprising success! They’ve done it a few times now. It’s part of her mission to make him just a little more interesting in bed.

(“Now, pretend that I’m one of your prisoners and I’ve been a very naughty girl!”
“…What.”)

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Harley. Though she’d dispute you on the embarrassing bit. She dances like a prima ballerina no matter what, thank you very much!

Still cries watching Titanic: Harley. As Bruce sits there, staring into eternity.

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Harley has tried to sell the idea to Bruce a few times, but he’s shut it down so many times that she’s reluctantly stopped. The furthest he’s willing to go is matching sweaters, and even then it’s under duress.

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: Harley, for the first few years of their relationship. But she’s finally realized that Bruce really doesn’t look kindly upon stolen goods, even when they’re for him, so has generally stopped now. This means that it’s actually usually Bruce, who tends to panic when going Christmas shopping and buy the first shiny thing that he sees.

(“Another necklace of priceless diamonds, sir?”
“It got me out of the shop, Alfred.”)

Makes the other eat breakfast: Oddly enough, it’s generally Harley. She’s far more of a morning person than Bruce, and so tends to conspire with Alfred to see that he actually gets fed occasionally.

Remembers anniversaries: Alfred. Who proceeds to carefully remind both of them a week or so in advance.

(They do both remember certain dates in their relationship, but not really the conventional ones. For Harley it’s the last time she left Arkham, for Bruce it’s the last time he saw her in costume. They both find this quite romantic, even as everybody else despairs.)

Brings up having kids: Harley. She’s quite keen on having kids, to the point where she basically regards the Batkids (Dick, Tim, Barbara) as her own brats. Bruce is a little more cautious, but also secretly wants numerous children. They probably end up adopting, some day.

Ody/Penny!
doreyg
Aug. 18th, 2015 10:06 am (UTC)
Gives nose/forehead kisses: Ody. He loves being sweet, and will do a hell of a lot just to make Penny wrinkle up her nose and giggle.

Gets jealous the most: Ody, definitely. Penny tends to be a lot chiller about the whole thing.

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Neither of them generally get THAT drunk, but when they were both younger (I’m assuming this is largely modern AU, let’s go for that) Penny tended to be the designated driver on the rare occasions when Ody indulged.

Takes care of on sick days: Both of them are quite good at that! Penny is probably slightly better, though, on balance.

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: “NOT ANOTHER BEACH,” Ody screams, and immediately sprints for the mountains. Penny heaves a long suffering sigh, and starts folding the towels again.

Gives unprompted massages: Ody. He gives great massages, too, so Penny feels ultra-lucky.

Drives/rides shotgun: Ody usually drives, because he enjoys it a bit more. Penny prefers to read/knit/do various other things.

Brings the other lunch at work: Penny in Homer, Ody in modern AU. I imagine Penny works at a tailors in modern AU? And Ody, being a doting husband, cheerfully brings her whatever she requires.

Has the better parental relationship: uhhhhhhhhh. Neither of them have a bad parental relationship? But Ody’s parents – his father, at least – lives closer, SO.

Tries to start role-playing in bed: Ody tried once. It did not go well.

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Ody, back when he drank a bit more than he does now. These days, he’s generally moved on to a mastery of dad dancing just to embarrass Telemachus as much as humanly possible.

Still cries watching Titanic: Hahaha Titanic involves boats, and so Ody flat out refuses to watch it.

(Penny secretly finds it offensively sappy, so is totally fine with this turn of events.)

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Neither of them. The most they’ve ever done is matching Halloween costumes, and that was only once or twice.

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: Odysseus will generally have huge attacks of sappiness, and will come home bearing absurdly expensive gifts for Penny. Penny is torn on how to respond to this.

Makes the other eat breakfast: Both of them are morning people in my head, so they generally remember together. Penny is the one that tends to make it, though.

Remembers anniversaries: both of them! Ody tends to get a bit sappier about it, but both of them are entirely invested.

Brings up having kids: it was a mutual decision.

Bruce/Wally
doreyg
Aug. 19th, 2015 08:53 am (UTC)
Gives nose/forehead kisses: Wally, most definitely Wally. Bruce can be physically affectionate, when he chooses to be, but Wally is far more ready with it.

Gets jealous the most: Bruce. BRUCE.

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Uhhhhhh neither of them really drink that much, but – if we’re going by Barry standards here – Wally can’t actually get drunk so he’s the designated driver(/runner) by default.

Takes care of on sick days: Alfred

(Really it’s both of them, although neither of them are THAT fantastic about it.)

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: WALLY. And by drag it’s more pick Bruce up, drop him quickly in the sea and then run for his life as fast as possible.

Gives unprompted massages: Wally has tried to, a few times. He’s generally stopped, now that Bruce has pointed out that he can’t really fight crime that well if he can’t move his neck.

Drives/rides shotgun: Bruce drives, Wally generally runs. He doesn’t generally like being cooped up in a car that much.

Brings the other lunch at work: Wally~

Has the better parental relationship: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this question is really hard for comics based characters! I’d say Wally. Possibly, narrowly, by virtue of the fact that we never really hear that much about his family background in the TV series.

Tries to start role-playing in bed: Wally tried, once. It went… Less than well.

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Wally would be, if he could get drunk. As it is he manages to be pretty embarrassing anyway, even without the aid of drink!

Still cries watching Titanic: Wally gets openly sniffly, Bruce sits there somewhat despairingly and thinks about his life decisions.

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Oh, DEFINITELY Wally. Bruce has frequently tried to dissuade him, but it hasn’t actually sunk in yet.

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: Both of them, generally. Bruce panics in stores and tends to get the most expensive thing that he thinks Wally will like, Wally tends to either take Bruce’s mocking requests absolutely seriously or go in search of the perfect present from a distant place. This has led to several rather interesting Christmas mornings, where Alfred has narrowly avoided palpitations.

(“You got Mr West a dinosaur, sir?”
“Uh.”
“I love it!”)

Makes the other eat breakfast: It is, without a doubt, Alfred.

(Between the two of them, Wally is a lot better with mornings and so generally a lot better with having breakfast at some point? Neither of them are great, though, and Wally does have the tendency to eat all the food in the house without thinking and then suddenly remember that Bruce will want food too.)

Remembers anniversaries: Both of them! Bruce is, perhaps, slightly better about it. But Wally always comes through in the end.

Brings up having kids: The thought of them having children is, frankly, a little terrifying but I can see them talking about it eventually. Hmmmmmmm. I’m pretty sure that Wally brings it up first, but Bruce isn’t against the idea?

Len/Barry!
I’m so glad you asked for them! :D

--

Gives nose/forehead kisses: Barry. Len, when he displays affection, tends to get a little more physical. Barry doesn’t exactly MIND this, but does feel that the hickeys are getting a little hard to hide.

Gets jealous the most: Len. Most definitely Len.

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Barry can’t get drunk, so it tends to be him. Len, of course, rarely drinks but he does sometimes rope Barry into mopping up after the Rogues have a night out.

Takes care of on sick days: Both of them! Len tends to go into hyper protective mode whenever Barry is ill, though, and basically takes over all operations as best he can. Lisa calls him a soppy idiot for it. Lisa knows nothing, and nobody should listen to her.

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: Oh, definitely Barry! Len didn’t really do beach days, until Barry came along. Len also didn’t really do paddling, until Barry came along.

Gives unprompted massages: Hmmmmmm. Probably Len, actually? Barry is forbidden from doing so – thanks to his superspeed, and the relatively high chance of injury – but Len is both allowed to and surprisingly good at it. Nobody believes Barry, when he tells people this, but it’s most definitely true.

Drives/rides shotgun: Len is the better driver, so tends to take over. Barry usually chooses to run instead, after all.

Brings the other lunch at work: they’ve decided on a firm line between professional and private, for various extremely good reasons. Barry will sometimes sneak Len some of his favourites, though.

Has the better parental relationship: most definitely Barry.

Tries to start role-playing in bed: Barry started it, but Len quite cheerfully continued it. Barry found that he couldn’t really walk or run straight for DAYS afterwards.

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Barry was, but now can’t really get drunk. Len doesn’t really drink, and wouldn’t dance even if he did.

Still cries watching Titanic: Barry gets a bit sniffly, Len subtly checks his phone and refuses to text live updates to Lisa.

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Neither of them!

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: Len, definitely Len. He has the habit of handing Barry absurdly expensive things, and then just smiling when Barry asks where the hell he got it from. This has led to multiple conflicts with Joe, over the years.

Makes the other eat breakfast: Len, oddly enough. He’s not such a fan of breakfast, but always makes sure that Barry is suitably loaded up for the day.

Remembers anniversaries: Both of them remember anniversaries, but Len is a little more invested in them. It’s hard to tell, if you don’t know him, but Barry has grown accustomed to him getting extra devoted around that time of year.

Brings up having kids: Uhhhhhhh hm. That’s probably a tricky subject, considering Len’s childhood and both of their lifestyles. Despite this, they do definitely both want to talk about it – they just haven’t quite gotten around to it yet, and it may take a while for them to do so.

(I do see them possibly adopting at some vague point in the future, though. Len is just as devoted a dad as he is a boyfriend, and their little girl is basically the princess of central city before she can even walk.)

Sam/John!
Aaaaaaand I am also glad you asked for these two! They really could be super interesting, and I’m glad for the opportunity to think more about them! :D

(Aaaaaaand now having done it, I made myself ship them even more. Darnit. :D)

--

Gives nose/forehead kisses: Sam, although both of them are generally quite affectionate with each other. They joke that it’s mainly to make other people feel uncomfortable, but there’s a lot of genuine affection there too.

Gets jealous the most: IIIIIIIIIIII am not really sure that either of them do. Possibly John a little more? But, quite honestly, I can see them both being fairly chill about it.

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: I am not sure. They probably alternate designated driver? That, or get Steve or Wally to pick them up afterwards.

Takes care of on sick days: Both of them! I can see them both being quite equal looking after each other.

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: Probably Sam, a little more, but John doesn’t protest too much. He’s the one that always drags Sam out on snow days, after all!

Gives unprompted massages: Hmmmmmm, possibly John a little more? Sam’s muscles tend to get a little more tense, one of the downsides of not having a magical ring that can fly you everywhere, and John is fairly good at soothing the tension away.

Drives/rides shotgun: Both of them prefer flying, but when they absolutely HAVE to drive Sam is a little more comfortable with it. What can he say, he’s been on a road trip with Captain America.

Brings the other lunch at work: Sam, a little more often. Although they’re both perfectly willing to do it!

Has the better parental relationship: for once, in something related to comics, I think both of them actually have fairly healthy relationships with their parents. Sam probably gets to see his a little more often, but neither of them really have any problems there!

Tries to start role-playing in bed: I can see Sam trying once, and both of them dissolving into laughter. It was quite a fun bonding experience, but isn’t really either of their things.

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Oh man! Possibly Sam, a little more? Although both of them are quite down with dancing when they’re drunk.

Still cries watching Titanic: Sam? Neither of them are really that invested, though.

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Neither of them! John regards them as openly ridiculous, and Sam is quite happy to agree.

(They’re also both perfectly happy to laugh at Wally’s increasingly desperate attempts to get Bruce into couples costumes, but that’s an entirely different story.)

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: ahhhh hm. John is probably a little more willing to do so? And, at the same time, a little more able. He can quite easily pop over to another planet and buy something expensive without Sam really knowing any better.

(Of course Shayera, being a good friend, generally tends to spill the beans at the most inappropriate moment. This has led to a few tense words, but neither of them actually mind that much. Sam mainly just wants the chance to reciprocate!)

Makes the other eat breakfast: Both of them were soldiers, albeit in different arms, so are fairly good at eating at the correct times. Sam sometimes has to remind John, though, when he’s been working too hard at the whole Green Lantern business.

Remembers anniversaries: Probably both of them, quite honestly. They don’t get super sappy about it, but they do both definitely remember and make sure that the other knows it.

Brings up having kids: I can see it being a mutual decision, quite honestly. Sam probably floats the idea first, but John is definitely pretty willing to talk about it.

Harley/Ivy?
doreyg
Aug. 19th, 2015 09:24 am (UTC)
Gives nose/forehead kisses: Harley! Ivy isn’t against them, persay, but Harley is a lot easier with the whole physical affection thing.

Gets jealous the most: Uhhhhhhh. Hm. Both of them are fairly capable of getting jealous, but for some reason I see Ivy being worse about it?

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Ivy, most probably. Though usually they go out drinking together, if they do!

(Or stay in drinking. Which is far more fun, because none of the people are about.)

Takes care of on sick days: Both of them! Ivy is probably a little better at it, on average, but neither of them are all that great. Harley tends to be a little overly fussy, Ivy tends to be the opposite.

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: Definitely Harley!

Gives unprompted massages: Again, definitely Harley. Ivy will sometimes give plant massages, though, but only if bugged into it enough,

Drives/rides shotgun: They generally alternate. Ivy is the slightly better driver, though, so she probably tends to do it a little more.

Brings the other lunch at work: Harley, maybe? That way she can get something for herself, as opposed to being given another salad and having to begrudgingly chomp her way through it while dreaming of something sugary.

Has the better parental relationship: THIS IS A REALLY DIFFICULT QUESTION FOR COMICS BASED CHARACTERS. I quite honestly have no idea, neither of them really have that great family links.

Tries to start role-playing in bed: Harley, probably? Ivy is perfectly happy to go along with it, though.

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: HARLEY. Ivy tries to be a lot more dignified when she’s drunk, although her success at this frequently varies.

Still cries watching Titanic: Harley. Ivy tries not to get involved, but ends up yelling at the screen towards the end.

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Harley. She has not yet managed to convince Ivy, and probably never will.

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: Uhhhhhh both of them. Neither of them are that great at moderation, when it comes to each other.

Makes the other eat breakfast: It probably varies. Harley is a morning person, so is generally up and bouncy then anyway. Ivy is a tiny bit less of a morning person, but still remembers to get up and water her plants anyway. As a result they both tend to remember, and both tend to eat at relatively sensible times for supervillains.

Remembers anniversaries: IIIIIIIIIIIII am honestly not sure if either of them remember the actual dates for anniversaries, but I can see Harley randomly deciding that a certain day is their anniversary and dragging Ivy into various kinds of mayhem. Ivy doesn’t really mind this. Mayhem with Harley is always fun, after all!

Brings up having kids: Harley has probably mentioned it a few times, but Ivy has always made sure to hastily redirect her. She’s perfectly happy with the two of them owning plants forevermore, thank you very much. Who wants BABIES when you can have a nice tree instead?

Bruce/Selina
doreyg
Aug. 20th, 2015 08:40 am (UTC)
Gives nose/forehead kisses: Bruce, but only very absently when he’s running on very little sleep/is thinking about a big case. Selina, needless to say, teases him MERCILESSLY for these slips.

Gets jealous the most: both of them. Bruce tends to be a little more obvious about it, even when he thinks he isn’t, but Selina tends to be a lot more… Proactive.

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Uhhhhhhh. Hm. Probably shared between the both of them? Bruce tends not to drink so much, though, so it generally falls to him a little more often.

Takes care of on sick days: Alfred

(Again, both of them. The difference being that Selina usually does fairly well, unless she loses interest, and Bruce tries but usually fails completely.)

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: …Honestly, I can’t really see either of them being much for the paddling. Selina prefers to sunbathe in a dignified and thoroughly sexy manner, Bruce prefers not to go near the beach at all.

Gives unprompted massages: Neither of them really give unprompted massages, but Bruce will give in if Selina makes enough pointed hints. He’s actually surprisingly good at it. Selina has no problem with holding this information over his head when she wants something.

Drives/rides shotgun: Both of them, again. Bruce perhaps drives a tiny bit more, but both of them can drive fairly well and have little problem with doing so.

Brings the other lunch at work: Hm, probably neither of them. Selina will sometimes magically appear to drag Bruce out to a high-end restaurant, but she flat out refuses to bring him any sandwiches.

Has the better parental relationship: This continues to be a really hard question! Probably Bruce, because he has Alfred around to be at least vaguely sensible in his general direction?

Tries to start role-playing in bed: Selina. Who quite cheerfully drags Bruce, alternately puzzled and embarrassed over the whole thing, along with her. It’s part of her mission in life to make him a lot more interesting in bed, for the good of her the universe!

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Neither of them. Neither of them tend to get that drunk, and neither of them really want to dance that much if they do get drunk. Bruce tends to get all confessional and mopey, and Selina tends to put extra effort into looking dignified. It’s a system that works for the both of them.

Still cries watching Titanic: Neither of them. It’s not really their sort of film, to be honest. I imagine that they tried to watch it once, and Selina mocked it so much that even Bruce was having to bite back hysterics after the first hour.

Firmly believes in couples costumes: NEITHER OF THEM. Selina finds the idea hilarious, Bruce just finds it deeply confusing.

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: Bruce, definitely Bruce. Selina is far more comfortable in posh shops, and so tends to take the time to pick out something both thoughtful and appropriate. Bruce, despite all of Selina’s careful training, is still incredibly uncomfortable and has never lasted more than an hour without grabbing the nearest thing and bolting. Since this usually leads to something incredibly expensive and shiny, Selina doesn’t mind this so much.

Makes the other eat breakfast: to be honest I don’t really see either of them being breakfast people. Bruce hates the concept of mornings altogether, Selina is a little better with them but still prefers to only consume a liquid (coffee) diet and not ever talk. Alfred despairs, but can’t really do anything about it.

Remembers anniversaries: Bruce. Selina does generally remember, but needs Alfred to poke her a few times first.

Brings up having kids: Bruce! And Selina carefully convinces him that they already have enough kids, and suggests getting more cats instead. It seems like the best option, really.

Hal/Bruce!
That's alright! Hopefully you're the good kind of busy?

Gives nose/forehead kisses: Hal, sometimes, but mainly to piss Bruce off.

Gets jealous the most: Uhhhhhh hm. Bruce, mainly? Hal can get jealous, but does recognize that that’s a bit hypocritical a lot of the time.

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Bruce. Definitely Bruce.

Takes care of on sick days: ALFRED. I can picture both Hal and Bruce, despite their very best efforts, being kind of awful at it.

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: Hal. Not because he particularly loves the water, but because the picture of Bruce grumpily standing in the water and glaring is hilarious to him.

Gives unprompted massages: Neither of them…? Bruce will give massages when poked, but Hal frequently forgets to do the poking.

Drives/rides shotgun: Bruce usually drives, Hal usually just uses his ring instead. He enjoys getting there long before Bruce, and then mercilessly mocking Bruce when he does arrive.

Brings the other lunch at work: Neither of them? They generally work in the same place, after all. Although, when Bruce is busy and Hal isn’t, I can sometimes see Hal grabbing up an alien delicacy and dumping it in front of Bruce at the worst possible moment.

Has the better parental relationship: DAMMIT COMICS!

Uhhhhhh probably Hal, despite everything? I think he still has a fairly good relationship with his mother, in the comics. Though I may well be wrong there!

Tries to start role-playing in bed: Hal, probably, but they both roll with it. It ends up being fairly enjoyable!

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Hal. Definitely Hal.

Still cries watching Titanic: uhhhhh hm. I can see Hal pretending not to, but secretly wanting to bawl at certain parts. Bruce, as ever, sits there and stares into space and dreams of the alternate universe where he isn’t made to watch Titanic.

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Neither of them. Although Hal, bless him, has tried a few times just to try and get a reaction out of Bruce.

(The reaction was a flat stare and an extremely sudden burst into Hal’s apartment at around five in the morning.)

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: Bruce! Although, since Hal doesn’t generally like stuff from super expensive stores, he isn’t exactly all that bad about it. He does still tend to go a little overboard to express his affection, though, which is a thing that Hal mocks him over mercilessly.

Makes the other eat breakfast: …What is breakfast? Neither of them ever remember by themselves, and Alfred has almost reached the despair event horizon.

Remembers anniversaries: Bruce. Hal has the bad habit of completely forgetting them, and then wandering in several weeks afterwards with a rather blithe “…What? I was off in space!”

Bruce, though now used to it, feels perfectly justified in his decision to visit Hal only after midnight as a sort of petty revenge for this. Hal grumbles, but very few people are actually on his side.

Brings up having kids: HAHAHAHA OH GOD THAT THOUGHT IS TERRIFYING. Probablyyyyyyy neither of them? Bruce perhaps thinks of bringing it up once, but then looks at Hal and his space ring and decides that the subject is probably best avoided.

Re: Hal/Bruce!
More of a "doing my best to avoid my family" busy, so if I am successful it is a good kind of buys LOL

This is absolutely hilarious to imagine, oh god.

(re: parents) Did they revive Hal's mother in nu52? If not, she's been dead since before he ever became a Green Lantern, and she and Hal weren't on speaking terms before that because of him joining the Air Force against her wishes. So I guess technically Bruce had a better relationship with his parents because at least he got along with them before they died...? Man, this is kind of depressing either way.

This about covers Bruce in the water: https://twitter.com/Shagrippina/status/634698652842377216/photo/1

Ahhhhh. I think I got that wrong, then! Hal having a good relationship with his mother must have been something I read in a fanfic once, and then my brain decided to adopt it as canon in a most puzzling way. In that case, then, it's definitely Bruce. He has Alfred, after all! ^^
